There’s a Rick Rubin docu-series coming to the small screen

It's called 'Shangri-La' and it's set to debut at this year's SXSW.

Since 1984, Rick Rubin has been a king in the world of production. As of this year’s SXSW, the world will get a glimpse into his creative process. At the moment, the docu-series is loosely titled Shangri-La, after Rubin’s Malibu studio. Directed by Morgan Neville, the film features Rubin as executive producer alongside Neville and a host of othersAlthough Shangri-La will debut as a work in progress, Rolling Stone reports the finished show will be available to stream via Showtime later this year.
Rubin co-founded Def Jam Recordings with Russell Simmons, producing seminal early hip-hop records from Public Enemy, Run-DMC, and LL Cool J. Since the 2000s, Rubin has worked with Lana Del Rey, Adele, Eminem, Frank Ocean, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Johnny Cash and Limp Bizkit. He famously executive produced Kanye Wests Yeezus and co-executive produced The Life of Pablo.
